Arrive Amsterdam. Check in to 4-star Hampshire Hotel The Manor Amsterdam, 10 minutes by direct tram from the theatres.

Friday September 29 AMSTERDAM
Watch Dutch National Ballet company class and backstage tour of the opera house. Afternoon at leisure. Evening: 3-course welcome dinner and performance of Nederlands Dans Theater: 3 new works by Edward Clug, Medhi Walerski, and Sol LeĂłn & Paul Lightfoot

Saturday September 30 AMSTERDAM
1030 am: Private guided tour of the highlights of the Rijksmuseum (1 hour). Rest of day at leisure. Evening: performance of Dutch National Ballet : all van Manen: On the Move, Symphonieën der Nederlanden, 5 Tangos, Sarcasmen.

Sunday October 1 AMSTERDAM
Day at leisure. Three-course dinner.

Monday October 2 AMSTERDAM – GHENT - PARIS
830am: Check out of hotel. Transfer by luxury washroom-equipped private coach to Paris. Noon: Arrive Ghent, Belgium. 12-minute cruise by private boat along the canal from coach park to central Ghent. Lunch, followed by private guided 90-minute walking tour of historic Ghent, with a visit to St. Bavo's Cathedral and van Eyck's masterpiece “The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb”. Free time to stock up on Belgian chocolate, have a waffle at an outdoor cafe, or stroll along the canals.
4 pm: Depart Ghent for Paris
830 pm: Arrive at 4-star Hotel Astra Opera, 3 minutes walk from the Opera Garnier.

Tuesday October 3 PARIS
Day at leisure. Evening: 2-course dinner before National Ballet of Canada performance: Nijinsky (Neumeier)

Wednesday October 4 PARIS
Day at leisure. Evening: Paris Opera Ballet performance: Jewels

Thursday October 5 PARIS
Day trip by private coach to Giverny.  Lunch at picturesque Moulin de Fourges.

Visit Claude Monet's house and garden.
Private guided tour of the MusĂ©e des Impressionismes exhibit Manguin, the Joy of Colour. Henri Manguin’s paintngs convey a joy of life and a sensuality that led him to be called “the voluptuous painter” by Guillaume Apollinaire. Through his colour harmonies, this friend of Henri Matisse worked in tandem with the bold innovations of the Fauves. Return to Paris.
