Make your own way to Montreal by air, rail, bus, or car. Arrive Montreal; check in to the 4-star Delta Montreal conveniently located 8 minutes walk from Place des Arts.

2 pm: private guided tour at Montreal Museum of Fine Arts of Chagall: Colour and Music. This is the biggest Canadian exhibition ever devoted to Marc Chagall (1887-1985). Featuring 340 works of art and a large selection of documentary works, including photographs, films, and musical excerpts, this multi-disciplinary exhibition is the first to focus on Chagall’s profound connection to music in his life and work.

It includes a projection of a close-up view of the famous ceiling of the Paris Opera, which allows us to appreciate the splendour of this monumental decor and view details that are normally not visible to the naked eye. Three galleries are devoted to the ballets for which Chagall designed the sets and costumes: Aleko (1942, Mexico City), The Firebird (1945, New York) and Daphnis and Chloe (Brussels-Paris, 1958-1959).

Evening: three-course dinner in the company of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens Ukrainian demi-soloist Anya Nesvitaylo and her husband, former dancer and current dance and fashion photographer Sasha Onyshchenko.

Performance of National Ballet of Ukraine (also known as the Taras Shevchenko National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine or the Kiev Ballet): The Marriage of Figaro.

Morning: Hot and cold buffet breakfast and Q&A with Les Grands Ballets principal dancer Hervé Courtain, former soloist with Paris Opera Ballet. Check out of hotel.
