The start of the 2016/17 Season will see the introduction of Friday Rush at the Royal Opera House. Every Friday at 1pm, 49 tickets will be released for each main stage performance in the coming week – even for sold-out shows.
The tickets are at a range of prices from the lower price ranges for a production, so Friday Rush offers a great way to buy cheaper tickets for in-demand shows. The first release will be at 1pm on Friday 9 September 2016, offering newly released tickets for performances from Saturday 10 September to Friday 16 September of The Royal Opera's Norma and Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville).
Friday Rush replaces our former allocation of day tickets and enables you to skip the queue and buy these tickets online up to a week before the show, with a limit of two tickets per person per production (an increase from the old Day Ticket system which only allowed one ticket per person).
As with the former day tickets, we're offering Friday Rush for almost all performances by The Royal Opera or The Royal Ballet on the main stage at the Royal Opera House.
