Time:                     03:00pm

Concert location:     Koerner Hall (Royal Conservatory of Music, Bloor at St George)

Landmark Cinemas in Canada to show Royal Ballet cinemacasts

For Royal Ballet broadcasts only, some cinemas in the Landmark chain will be joining Cineplex in showing the live broadcasts. Bolshoi Ballet cinemacasts continue to be only at the Cineplex. For more information on how to find a ballet cinemacast near you: http://toursenlair.blogspot.ca/2015/09/landmark-cinemas-in-canada-to-show.html

Zakharova, Polunin to star in Bolshoi Giselle cinemacast

The Bolshoi will be broadcasting Giselle on Sunday 11 October. Controversial ballet wunderkind Sergei Polunin will star as Albrecht, if he has recovered from a recent neck strain. Svetlana Zakharova will dance Giselle (not one of my fave Giselles, I must say).

In Canada these will be shown at some Cineplex theatres. Check locations near you on www.cineplex.ca

Livestream Paloma Herrera farewell in R&J

Former ABT star Paloma Herrera's farewell performance will be in Maximiliano Guerra's Romeo and Juliet at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. It will be streamed live on Saturday, October 17, at 8:00 pm ART, (7pm Eastern and 4pm Pacific). http://www.teatrocolon.org.ar/en-vivo
The last livestream from Buenos Aires failed to transmit the video, so let's hope this one works!

Royal Ballet Romeo and Juliet at Bloor Cinema in Toronto
If you missed the cinemacast with Steven McRae and Sarah Lamb at the Cineplex recently, you can catch it on Saturday October 31st at 3 pm at the Bloor Cinema, Bloor St just east of Bathurst.

A new Tours en l'air feature: Home décor ideas for ballet lovers

I want these for my patio! How about you? http://toursenlair.blogspot.ca/2015/09/tutu-umbrellas.html

The legendary and beautiful Alessandra Ferri returns from retirement at age 52 to dance her signature role in Kenneth MacMillan's Romeo, with the wonderful Herman Cornejo as her partner. Individual tickets go on sale in March. More info here:
