Morning: Watch Zurich Ballet company class. Afternoon at leisure. Suggested activities: 

take a boat cruise past the 18th-century guild houses overlooking the Limmat river, or on the Zurichsee

visit the Kunsthaus, Switzerland's major art gallery

window shop or visit the clock museum along chic Bahnhofstrasse

admire Chagall's stained-glass windows in the Fraumunster

savour the world's best chocolate at Zurich's many chocolate shops, or book a chocolate-tasting tour

Optional: train trip to the beautiful Bavarian Alps to visit Herrenchiemsee, one of “Mad” King Ludwig II's numerous castle-building projects.
