Arrive Saratoga Springs, New York; check in to the 3-star Hilton Garden Inn, conveniently located a 5-minute drive from the Saratoga Performing Arts Centre in Saratoga State Park. Evening: 3-course welcome dinner at the majestic Hall of Springs restaurant and pre-performance interview with an NYCB dancer. Performance of Square Dance (Vivaldi & Corelli/Balanchine), 'Rōdē,ō: Four Dance Episodes (Copland/ Peck), which recently opened to rave reviews, Symphony in C (Bizet/ Balanchine)

Saturday 11 July
Morning at leisure. Suggested activities: explore the charming spa town of Saratoga Springs, have an effervescent mineral bath at the Roosevelt Baths about two minutes walk from the entrance to the theatre, enjoy a round of golf or a walk in the lovely park, or visit the permanent exhibition at the National Museum of Dance and Dance Hall of Fame, a short walk from the hotel on the way to the theatre. This year's temporary exhibits honour Gene Kelly and Jacques d'Amboise.
930-1045 am: Optional (subject to availability, class size limited to 15, cost CA$30): learn a combination from the NYCB rep in a one-hour ballet class taught by New York City Ballet dancer Andrew Scordato. No previous ballet experience required.
Afternoon: performance: Interplay (Gould/Robbins), Tarantella (Gottschalk, reorch. by Kay/ Balanchine), Symphony in 3 Movements (Stravinsky/Balanchine), Western Symphony (Kay/Balanchine)
Evening: three-course dinner then performance of Belles-Lettres (Franck/ Peck), Pictures at an Exhibition (Mussorgsky/ Ratmansky), Mercurial Manoeuvres (Shostakovich/ Wheeldon)

Manulife out-of-province health insurance (for Ontario residents holding an OHIP card) and trip cancellation insurance are available through CWT Victor Travel and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Price will vary according to birthdate. Premium must accompany payment for the package and is non-refundable.
