Pacific Northwest Ballet dancers and
dance historian Doug Fullington present excerpts from the works of
19th-century French ballet master Marius Petipa. Revived from
century-old dance notation, selections from Petipa's famed La Bayadère
and Le Roi Candaule, as well as his staging of the swashbuckler Le
Corsaire, will be accompanied by two violinists performing period scores
in the traditional rehearsal medium of 19th-century St. Petersburg.
