The NBOC's "Mad Hot Ballet " gala at 6:30 pm on June 12 will feature the following pieces:
Por Ti by
Spanish choreographer Luis Martin Oya
will make its company premiere and will be performed by
Principal Dancers TBA and Piotr Stanczyk.
Principal Dancers Guillaume Côté
and Greta
Hodgkinson will dance the Summer pas de
deux from The
Four Seasons by James Kudelka.
Enkeli,
choreographedby Côté, will be performed by Corps de
Ballet members Emma
Hawes and Brendan Saye. Enkeli
was originally created for The Tenth International
Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize and Mr. Côté received
the Audience Choice Award for choreography.
Guest artist Svetlana Lunkina
will perform a pas de deux from Don Quixote with
Piotr Stanczyk.
The performance will conclude with excerpts
from Carmen
by Davide
Bombana, performed by Principal Dancers Heather Ogden
and Guillaume Côté with Artists of the Ballet.
All guests are invited to attend a Carmen-themed
reception in the Isadore and Rosalie Sharp City Room following
the performance, complete with Spanish-inspired cocktails
