Evelyn Hart launches pre-professional summer ballet intensive

One of Canada's greatest ballerinas, renowned for her sublime artistry, Evelyn Hart is launching a summer intensive program July 6 to August 1, Mon-Fri: 10 - 6 pm Sat: 10 - 1 pm. An incredible opportunity for any teenagers who are serious about ballet.

From her website, http://www.evelynhart.ca/curriculum.html

"This session will consist of intensive mentoring of a select group of dancers in the art of classical ballet. We’ll be focusing on refining your technique, pointe work, variations, and pas de deux (enrollment dependent).  As well, a contemporary element, including technique, improvisation and choreography.

This intensive is aimed at male and female dancers, aged 14 to 20, who have solid classical ballet training.  It would also be an ideal program for those who are looking to put the finishing touches on their approach to the art as they prepare for a future professional career.

The program will be very selective, with space for only 20 dancers.  That way, I’ll be able to give everyone direct, customized attention.  I am envisioning an intimate, collaborative experience!"

Also teaching will be Alys Shee (Birmingham Royal Ballet) and Louis Laberge-Coté. For more information, visit Evelyn Hart's website.
