Sun. 21 April: STUTTGART
Arrive Stuttgart; check in to 3-star City Hotel, 10 minutes walk from the opera house. **Upgrade to 5-star Schlossgarten Hotel, 4 minutes walk from opera house, available on request.

Mon. 22 April: STUTTGART
Morning: Watch Stuttgart Ballet company class. Rest of day at leisure. You can relax in one of Stuttgart's mineral baths, stroll in the lovely Schlossgarten, or have some classic coffee and cake at a cafe. Evening: Welcome 3-course dinner.

Tues. 23 April: STUTTGART
(day trip to AUGSBURG)
Day trip by private luxury coach to Augsburg (1 hr 50 minutes). Watch Ballet Augsburg rehearsals. Lunch with Ballet Augsburg Artistic Director Robert Conn.  Private guided 2-hour walking tour of historic Augsburg. Return to Stuttgart.

Wed. 24 April: STUTTGART
Day at leisure. Suggested activities: visit one of Stuttgart's renowned art galleries, or the Mercedes-Benz or Porsche museum, or the botanical garden and zoo. Or take a train ride to any of the following, all within an hour of Stuttgart:
Ludwigsburg, the Versailles of southern Germany
the beautiful medieval university towns of Tübingen or Heidelberg
4:30 p.m.: Private backstage tour of the Stuttgart Opera House. Evening: performance of Stuttgart Ballet, Rite of Spring (Tetley),
Dances at a Gathering (Robbins),
The Four Temperaments (Balanchine)

Thurs. 25 April:
Morning: check out of hotel. Private transfer by luxury coach (1 hour) to the cathedral city of Ulm, with the tallest church spire in the world. 2-hour private guided walking tour of historic Ulm. Time for lunch, then continue on to Munich (1 1/2 hours). Check in to 3-star Domus hotel, 10 minutes walk from Nationaltheater. **Upgrade to 4-star Platzl Hotel, 4 minutes walk from theatre, available on request. Evening: Bavarian State Ballet
Illusions – Like Swan Lake, John Neumeier's brilliant version of Swan Lake, which interweaves the stories of Bavaria's “Mad King” Ludwig II and Tchaikovsky with the traditional story of the ballet.

Fri. 26 April: MUNICH
Day at leisure. Suggested activities: visit Munich's renowned art galleries and museums, or the Nymphenburg Palace. Evening: Bavarian State Ballet & guest stars: Terpsichore Gala

Day at leisure. Evening: optional performance of Bavarian State Ballet: Heroes (Kohler)

Sun. 28 April: MUNICH
11 am - 1 pm: Performance of the Bavarian State Ballet School and Junior Company. Afternoon at leisure. Suggested activity: visit the adjacent palatial former residence of the Bavarian monarchy, with its jewel-like 18th-century theatre. Evening:

Mon. 29 April: MUNICH
Morning: Our private luxury coach transports you to the beautiful Bavarian Alps, where you will visit the exquisite Herrenchiemsee castle and grounds, one of Ludwig II's numerous building projects which features in Neumeier's Swan Lake. Private guided tour of the palace. Return to Munich for a farewell dinner, followed by the evening performance of Bavarian State Ballet: The Moor's Pavane (José Limón), Broken Fall (Russell Maliphant), Choreartium (Léonide Massine)

Check out of hotel and depart Munich.
